Connecting people to Christ through worship, study, and relationships, magnifying God’s love and grace for all.
Our Values
Loving Community
At First Christian Church, we take seriously the term “faith family.” We offer an authentic and caring community grounded in mutual respect and Christ’s loving example. We work to ensure people of every identity and background are met with genuine welcome. FCC is a place where seekers, saints, and sinners all belong.
Outreach-Oriented
We believe churches should be significant, positive members of their communities. We strive to collaborate with community partners to share the love and hope of Christ.
Faithful Following
We believe that God is not done with our town. We know that God calls people to walk and work beyond their comfort, and we aim to follow God wherever that path leads.
Meet the Pastor
Pastor Adam Carlson comes to us from Grand Rapids, Michigan, where he previously served as a Christian Education Director for several years. He is a Master of Divinity student at Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis, and started as our pastor in June 2025. He resides in Centralia with his darling cat, Athena.
As members of the Christian Church, We confess that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God, and proclaim him Lord and Savior of the world. In Christ’s name and by his grace we accept our mission of witness and service to all people. We rejoice in God, maker of heaven and earth, and in God’s covenant of love which binds us to God and to one another. Through baptism into Christ we enter into newness of life and are made one with the whole people of God. In the communion of the Holy Spirit we are joined together in discipleship and in obedience to Christ. At the Table of the Lord we celebrate with thanksgiving the saving acts and presence of Christ. Within the universal church we receive the gift of ministry and the light of scripture. In the bonds of Christian faith we yield ourselves to God that we may serve the One whose kingdom has no end. Blessing, glory, and honor be to God forever. Amen.
